Q&A With Kenzie
What Motivates You to Get Up for Work Every Day?
“I love writing. I’ve loved writing for so long that it’s just so natural for me to wake up and want to get better at it. I feel like since I have the opportunity to work as a writer, I can continue to learn more about my own writing and more about the clients and what they want in their writing.”
What Do You Love Most About Your Job?
“I really like how I learn something new every day. One day I’m working on personal injury content where I’m learning about the interesting mechanics of a brain injury and the next I’m working on business law and learning about mergers and acquisitions. It’s very interesting that I get to learn all of these new things every day.”
What is the Most Challenging Aspect of Your Job?
“I think that sometimes I have a hard time putting work away when it’s time to leave. I am always thinking about how to make my writing better and how to further a client’s experience with the content team. Sometimes it’s just hard to walk away from that at the end of the day.”
Describe Your Perfect Saturday
“I think my perfect Saturday would be either going hiking or going to the beach. I love spending time at the beach, eating mango salsa, and drinking a seltzer. I just love the atmosphere of the waves and the sun.”
What is Something Most People Don’t Know About You?
“I love concerts. I love music, and I feel that plays a lot into my creative side because I also love writing. I love being creative, but music is kind of different. I’ve crowd surfed a few times and I think that surprises some people. But I love massive rock concerts and music festivals.”
Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years?
“I really love managing writers. It’s something I’ve done previously and I’d really like to learn more about how to make the team better as a whole and also improve personally as a writer. So I’m very interested in project management and things like that.”
