There are some cool projects brewing up on Kickstarter as we enter into 2014. Ridding on the theme of smart design, some of these Kickstarter projects will definitely intrigue many people to fund and/or buy them. Here are a few projects we’re looking forward to seeing launch in 2014
Infoactive is a infographic web app that turns data into beautiful easy read graphics like charts and graphs. For too long data graphics have been stagnant and hard to use or interpret. Infoactive offers solutions to those problems. No prior knowledge is needed to use Infoactive. Data can be made into beautiful presentable and easy interpreted charts or graphs – easy to share with clients or in the classroom.
Ninja Sphere – Device Trackers @ninjablocks
The Ninja Sphere is made for smart living. It is a personal tracking system for household items and appliances. If someone moves items or something in your home, the system can track it for you. The Ninja Sphere can also monitor energy usage in appliances to help you save money. There is also an app to use with the Ninja Sphere. The designers hope to make the product open source so that users can write their own code tailored to their own liking and develop their own apps.
Touch Board – Interactive Sensor Board @bareconductive
The Touch Board is an interactive and responsive product that can turn everyday interactions into a fun or easy experience. It can make reading a book with sound cues every time you turn the page fun. It can also help make boring high school presentations into interesting extravaganzas. It has a control center that can detect distance sensing, compliment conductive material and it is Arduino compatible.
The FlyKly Smart Wheel is made for that urban bicyclist. This smart wheel provides your bike with an extra-motorized boost when pedaling. The wheel can be charged on the go, as you bike down hill, or simply while plugged into an outlet. The wheel syncs up with a app, where you can create routes or track your bike if its stolen. The Smart Wheel comes with a multi phone holder and charger, which also acts as a Smart Light for the bike. We can’t wait to try this one out!
The Python Cord is a silicone fasten contraption that is placed at the joint of your charger. The contraption spreads stress over a greater mass lessening the chance your charger cord will break. We know charger cords can be expensive, but at the moment Python Cords are only $8 a piece.
