I’ve always enjoyed doing the technical side of SEO, raising the bar higher by consistently being up to speed with programming and automation, especially on websites. I always found it odd when SEOs I meet spent so much of their time working on optimizing websites, without really knowing how websites work themselves. It’s not just websites though – all the aspects of SEO that come together; content, authority building, and on-site optimization all can make or break a campaign. I feel confident working with my clients and guiding their organic campaigns because I’ve been exposed thoroughly to these aspects by working in the space over eight years as an in-house Director of Marketing, a sought-after digital marketing consultant, and now a Managing Partner of an expanding agency. I wouldn’t have created this agency unless I was confident I could provide professional and expert analysis and vision to every campaign I lead.
My leadership style has always been “guide as you would want to be guided” and taking a step back from every task or project, no matter how big or small, and really owning it – being certain about if work being delivered is the best result we could have achieved is pretty core to our approach. Everything that we do is an extension of our own company – when we agree to work with someone and compete in their market, their competitors become our competitors. This concept carries on to every single member of the team.
I think what makes Market My Market different is that often, we are the ones within our marketing circles informing other agencies of trends and new marketing approaches. We take a ton of pride in experimenting with our own websites and creating new projects constantly, trying new things, making tweaks to things far before the necessity of change. Being proactive is in our blood and being reactive, I think, is a sign of failure. I love that my team shares the same desire to constantly benchmark themselves.
