Meet Jackie Mauro, one of our skilled SEO specialists here at Market My Market! Jackie is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and graduated from Clemson University in 2019 with a BS in marketing and a minor in Psychology. She enjoys being a part of MMM’s SEO team, which she describes as “hardworking, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable.” Each day she receives different tasks that help her learn and grow as an SEO expert. When she’s not working, you may find her exercising, staying active, hanging out with friends, and exploring the outdoors.

What Is a “Day in the Life” for You?
“It depends on the day, but I’m a morning person. I try to work out in the mornings. Throughout the day, I work and I take little breaks to go outside. I like to plan ahead for work-related tasks. If I know I’m going to have a busy week, I organize myself and prioritize what I need to get done. Especially when I know I’m traveling, I make sure to plan and get ahead since I tend to travel every weekend. I find life to be less stressful when I plan and stay proactive.”
What Did You Do Before Coming to Market My Market?
“I was a Guest Relations Coordinator within the sales and marketing team at Marriott. I lost that job because of COVID and I was looking for a new job within the marketing field because that’s what I’m passionate about. I did a digital marketing bootcamp at UNC and I completed a certificate in digital marketing within 18 weeks. It was my first experience with SEO, and Erin at MMM actually reached out to me in regards to this job because of my background and my experience completing the bootcamp. I joined MMM a year ago in June.”
What Do You Love Most About Your Job?
“I love that every day I’m learning something new. SEO is always changing or evolving. I learn a lot from Cory, Noah, the higher-ups, and the rest of the SEO team. I just love that I’m constantly learning and my job is really engaging so it doesn’t ever get boring.”
Describe the SEO Team and What You Enjoy Most About It
“What I like about being a part of the SEO team is that everyone is hard working, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable. We all help each other out when it comes to our daily tasks or side projects. I’m very grateful for the one-on-one training we still receive as a part of the team and the chance to continue to grow in the SEO world. I’m also assigned a variety of daily tasks, and at least one or two that are brand new tasks that I’ve never done before. I feel like I’m constantly learning and becoming more of an SEO expert.”
What Is Your Proudest Accomplishment at Market My Market?
“I think it’s how fast I’ve grown. They trusted me with my skills early on and my teammates are confident in my work. It helps me grow and to stay confident in my role and what I’m working on.”
How Do You Wind Down After a Long Day?
“After a long day, I have to go outdoors and enjoy nice weather, so I usually go on a run. I like listening to podcasts, either ‘Smartless’ or ‘Always Sunny in Philadelphia.’ They’re both comedies, and I just like to listen and decompress.”
What Do You Enjoy Doing in Your Spare Time?
“In my spare time, I’m probably making time to spend with my friends in South End, or going for a run and working out. I also enjoy watching anything related to comedy because I just enjoy laughing. Right now, I’m re-watching Modern Family.”
Who Is Your Hero?
“My grandfather. He’s in his 80s but he acts like he’s twenty. He’s a business owner and goes to the office every day. Also, he plays golf and tennis and recently went to his college reunion. He’s just the most positive and friendly person that I know. He’s my motivation to stay young, active, and enjoy life.”
