Isabel Skormin — Content Specialist

As a content specialist, I have been able to use my certification in StoryBranding to bring something new to each piece I write for our clients by using the power of story. While StoryBranding does not mean each piece will start with “Once upon a time” and end with a happily ever after, it does use a unique framework that aims to streamline our clients’ brand and mission. Positioning a potential client or customer as the “hero” in each piece of content—with the business we write for being the guide that helps them through each step of their journey to reach their goal—helps establish a relationship in the mind of the customer before they even reach the call to action at the bottom of the page.

Anastasiya Raynor — Content Writer

One of the ways to make the writing process easier is to assess the market before writing. One of the tried and true tricks of perfecting your content requires an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of your competition. Doing competitive research makes starting easier as you begin to develop an outline of what was helpful and what was unnecessary information for the topic. Before writing any piece of content, I like to see the ways I can outshine the competition and tackle the topic from a new perspective to help the client gain new leads.

Writing content on a daily basis can be challenging, especially when the topics you write about regularly are similar in nature. On days when writer’s block is hitting hard and my fingers can’t seem to get the words out, I turn to the tool we all seem to reach out for when we are in need of assistance: Google.

Scouring countless websites, Google is able to pull up pages and blog posts for even the most niche of topics. So, when I’m really struggling to get my work done, I’ll begin by skimming other websites or competitors to get some ideas on how to start my piece. Often, this is all I need to get the flow going because, once I get my introduction written, everything else tends to flow without much effort. Reviewing what others have written on similar topics also helps to identify any points that may have been overlooked and other opportunities where I can improve upon the competition.
