Park Smiles NYC, a boutique dentistry practice in Manhattan’s Carnegie Hill neighborhood, faced increasing competition in New York City’s saturated dental market. Despite offering a comprehensive range of services including cosmetic dentistry, pediatric care, orthodontics, and oral surgery, their online visibility was limited primarily to their immediate neighborhood.

The practice was struggling to attract new patients, with new patient numbers decreasing compared to previous years. Their existing SEO strategy was too narrowly focused on Carnegie Hill-specific keywords, severely limiting their reach in the greater New York City area.

Strategy and Implementation

Our comprehensive analysis revealed that Park Smiles NYC was ranking exceptionally well for Carnegie Hill-specific keywords but missing significant opportunities to reach potential patients throughout Manhattan and NYC. We developed a multi-faceted approach:

  2. Website Optimization: We implemented a complete website refresh focusing on:
    • Mobile optimization to address display issues
    • Improved user experience with clear calls-to-action
    • Enhanced conversion path optimization
    • Page speed improvements
    • FAQ schema implementation for better visibility in search results
  3. Google Business Profile Management: We optimized their main profile and created a specialized profile for their orthodontics department to capture specialty-specific searches.
  4. Content Strategy: We developed comprehensive service pages targeting high-value treatments and procedures, while implementing NYC-focused metadata.

Results

The results over a 10-month period (March 2024 – February 2025) were dramatic:

  • 120% increase in search impressions: From 1,986 daily impressions to 4,369
  • Expanded keyword ranking: 16 out of 17 target keywords now ranking in the top 3 positions
