Q&A with Mya

How Has Your Role at Market My Market Changed Over Time?

“When I started as an intern, I helped out on a bunch of different projects–kind of wherever the sales guys or the founding partners needed me. Then, I was still getting my footing learning SEO and legal terms. When I moved to part-time, I started doing a lot more outreach for the sales team. Now that I’ve started my own role, I still help out and support other projects, but I focus more on my own outreach most of the time.”

What Do You Love Most About Your Job?

“I think what I love most is being able to learn from the business development and leadership teams. They all have so much knowledge and experience about all kinds of things. No matter what project I work on, I’m always learning so much. I think that’s my favorite part because each day I walk away with so much more information and skills that I never knew before.”

What Is Your Favorite Project You’ve Worked on at Market My Market?

“I think it would definitely be the Mass Torts Made Perfect Conference in October. It was so much fun. It was really cool to be in that environment because I had never had an experience like that before and it was such a great opportunity to learn and spend time in person with the team and other people in the industry.”

What Do You Find Most Challenging About Your Job?

“I think it’s just how much I still have to learn. As much as I love that, it’s something that really challenges me as well. There’s a learning curve with a lot of the things I work on. So when I get thrown into something, there’s a little period where I have to adjust and make sure I’m learning and understanding exactly what I’m doing.”

Describe your Perfect Saturday

“I love to organize things. So, a perfect Saturday for me would be cleaning out my closet or finding something else to organize and just kind of relaxing and unwinding. I love a quiet weekend. Nothing too crazy, just recuperating from the week.”

What Are the Three Best Words/Phrases to Describe You?

“Patient, understanding, and a good listener.”

If You Could Have an Unlimited Supply of One Thing, What Would it Be?

“I would wish I had an unlimited supply of energy. I feel like I would get so much done. I always have big plans for my day and all the stuff I want to get done, but I don’t always hit everything. So, I would love to just have an unlimited supply to get everything I want to get done, done.”
