Dan Hendersen has owned and operated Blue Chip Pool service since 2008 and started working with Market My Market in 2012 when he was looking to expand his business. Over the past 4 years Blue Chip Pool service has grown into one of the most prominent Pool Cleaning companies in South Florida. We sat down with Dan to learn a little more about his company and the strategy behind his growth.
How Did Blue Chip Pool Service Start? I was tired of the same 9-5 grind like most of us. I decided it was time for a change. I knew I wanted to start my own business, but I didn’t know what direction I wanted to go. I saw an overwhelming need for a competitively priced pool service with top notch customer support in South Florida. I took it upon myself to develop a business model to enable myself to deliver quality pool service at a competitive price.
Blue Chip is a South Florida staple for Pool Cleaning and Servicing what do you think makes your business stand out among other pool companies in South Florida from a marketing standpoint? My website isn’t like the standard boring pool cleaning websites that are out there. Clients are always impressed that they go to my site and see my picture, logo and brand and see the same thing in person when I come to clean their pool. It’s all about image and my website conveys my image perfectly.
What would you say helps your business attract additional leads and clients? A strong online presence. Many of my preferred keywords are ranking number 1 on the organic search. I don’t do pay per click due to budget allocation, but have had great success with SEO. I also receive quite a few leads from referrals. They always say the best form of a compliment is a referral.
If you could give one piece of marketing advice to a another pool service or business owner what would it be? Don’t undervalue the allocation of resources to online marketing. It is truly the way people interact with businesses.
What are your marketing plans for 2017? I’ll definitely continue working with Market My Market, I am hoping to start a social media strategy .
