Meet Katie Cowan, a talented account manager at Market My Market! Katie is a valuable team member and a pro at ensuring our client’s needs are met and helping them achieve their business goals. Recently, she was promoted from an Account Coordinator to an Account Manager due to her continued excellence. Katie is based in Longwood, Florida and enjoys live music, gardening, and hosting house concerts with her friends and family.
For Katie, every day at MMM brings new challenges and opportunities to excel. She works in tandem with the Account Management team to make sure everything is running smoothly behind the scenes for our clients and MMM. She aims to grow professionally every day as she continues to contribute her knowledge and skills to the team.
Q&A with Katie
What did you do before coming to Market My Market?
“Before MMM, I was a middle school math teacher for 12 years. I also taught remedial math at a community college.”
How would you describe the Account Management team?
“That’s a good question because everyone is so different. The team is fun and I think we all work well together to help clients and solve our problems.”
How have you grown professionally at Market My Market?
“Well, I didn’t really know anything but textbook knowledge when it comes to SEO and advertising. So, I have learned a lot about digital marketing, SEO, and the industry.”
What’s Your Daily Routine on the Account Management Team?
“I spend a lot of time on client projects. I check due dates and check to make sure everything is getting done. I speak a lot with Account Managers to make sure the clients have everything they need. We also do a lot of client reporting. I move content along, and get tasks. I’m a middle man between account management, SEO, and business development. I do a lot of the behind the scenes work.”
Where do you see yourself five years from now?
“I would see myself in a more senior position. Having more knowledge in marketing and advertising, as more of a pro.”
How do you wind down after a long day?
“So, there’s usually a glass of wine and music involved. I love going out for live music or going to a concert. My husband and I love to check out the local breweries. Also, I enjoy hanging out with my kids and our pets.”
If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be?
“Chapstick. I have one everywhere – on my nightstand, purse, desk. I’m that person. I just have plenty for when my kids need them too.”
What are the three best words to describe you?
“I would say inquisitive, light-hearted, and kind.”
