Meet Matt Sharadin! Matt went to Shippensburg University, a place he describes as a “small state school in Pennsylvania, out in the woods.” He got a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and minored in Journalism. Initially planning to get into journalism and mass communications, Matt made the switch to marketing after an enlightening conversation with a friend, Mike. He also has a field golden retriever puppy named Bellini, Bell for short.

Since realizing marketing was more his interest, Matt has been deeply involved in marketing work. He has a love for organization and the process, especially the way thorough outlines and plans streamline projects and expectations for everyone involved. He’s proudest of his website revamp for Bernal Law, but he’s also looking forward to completing several other projects in his current scope.

Q&A With Matt

What Does a Typical Work Day Look Like for You?

“I get up around seven or 7:30, wake up the pup, take her out for a quick walk, get breakfast, and get all those necessities completed. And then, around 8:30, I start rolling into emails and start seeing what’s going on from the floor. And then from there, I start attacking my main priorities from nine to 11. And then everything else.

“So the first bit of the morning is really focused in on Asana, going through making sure I didn’t miss anything the day before going through all my segments. And then really just making the game plan for the day. So that is a typical morning for me. And coffee, I have a bunch of coffee in the morning as well.”

What Do You Like to Do in Your Free Time?

“Right now, I’m a little too much of an enthusiast of coffee, specifically espresso. I would say a perfect Saturday involves waking up around eight-ish, nine-ish, and sleeping in a little bit, then having a morning by the beach. We specifically like going to a coffee shop close to the beach. You know, something by the beach just kind of hanging out. If we can have a little bit of rain just to pass through in the morning, hang out in the coffee shop, just kind of watch the world go by for a little bit, and just enjoy the time.

“I’ve been really into cooking, so any chance I get to cook, that’s been something. I don’t like cleaning up, but obviously, I’ve got to do that part of it. I’m also getting back into movies. I was really into movies when I was younger, and I especially liked that kind of music.

“Recently, it’s been just all my time spent with the puppy and trying to train her and get her to a good spot. So I would say right now that’s pretty big. That’s my main focus outside of getting the chance to cook.”

What Is Something Most People Don’t Know About You?

“One of the women who was one of the accusers of the witches from the Salem Witch Trials is directly related to my family. So I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. But I thought that was kind of interesting. When I was growing up, I thought she was one of the witches that was accused. Last year, I brought that back to my family. They’re like, ‘No, no, she was a person that accused others.’”

Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years?

“I do see myself potentially out of Florida, as much as I love it. I do miss up north in the seasons. So I’m hoping to have a spot back up north somewhere. Hopefully, I’m also just crushing here as a Senior Account Manager. Hopefully, the puppy will be all trained by then. And yeah, figuring out some way to continue to do remote work for Market My Market and spending my time between up north and down south for a little bit. Hopefully, hopefully, I have some way to start my own coffee shop as well.”
