Today Google announced that they are developing a new feature that will allow AdWord’s Advertisers to optimize their Adwords URL structure. Currently, anytime tracking needs to be adjusted, the entire destination URL needs to be updated. This leads to ad downtime and ultimately loss of clicks and revenue. With this new upgraded feature, advertisers will be able to update their destination URL without having to deal with the normal downtime of having an ad’s destination URL reviewed. The new system will also allow advertisers to see exactly where customers are when they click on particular ads. Google is rolling out this update now and plans to upgrade clients’ accounts as soon as they can. Accounts will automatically be upgraded to the new system on July 1st 2015.
